Job Description – Accounting Coordinator

Job Summary:

Redstone, a Burlington, VT based real estate development and property management firm, is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The Accounting Associate will provide support for Redstone as it relates to accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining and creating processes and procedures, and other duties as needed.

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Supervises: None

Wage Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process 3rd party payables
  • Process management company payables
  • Receive payments from tenants and vendors
  • Scan and apply checks and make bank deposits
  • Manage accounts receivable process
  • Validate, pay and schedule property tax payments
  • Vendor setup and account maintenance
  • Employee expense review (corporate credit cards)
  • Book recurring auto payments for debt service—true up as needed
  • Rebill tenants for nonstandard repairs or service
  • Expense allocations
  • Other general ledger activity as needed
  • Reconciliations as needed
  • Validate, allocate and process insurance premiums
  • Review and process work orders

The candidate should also have the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at one time, with frequent interruptions, and be a problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills, especially in the Microsoft suite. Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
