Description

SUMMARY

Toyota Material Handling Systems is looking for a Shop Utility Worker to join our winning team! This position is responsible for performing various shop duties as assigned to maintain the shop and warehouse facilities in good order. Assist and provide back up support to the Shop Foreman, Parts Dept and Transportation dept. 









Requirements

SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

  • Perform shipping and receiving functions at dock Make sure all trucks in warehouse and shop are properly tagged.
  • Load and unload equipment onto delivery truck
  • Keep equipment parked in designated areas within the shop Inventory supplies, tools and materials.
  • Steam cleans various pieces of equipment. Keep warehouse floors clean Keep renewed isle and demo isle clean trucks straight and dusted.
  • Empty trash receptacles as needed.
  • Assist technicians with minor repairs.
  • Deliver and receive parts when needed.
  • Keep Shop area clean and organized.
  • Perform miscellaneous jobs as needed.
  • Ensure everything is secured at the end of every day.
  • Must follow all procedures in the company's Employee Handbook.
  • Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment regarding safety.
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Shop Supervisor. Experience and Skills.
  • Learn 5s /ASEC skills and maintain them in the shop. 


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This position requires some type of mechanical experience or training. Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. Position requires a clean DMV This position requires someone who is self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently, willing to comply with employee handbook, safety, and shop policies, possess good organizational skills and able to take direction. This position must be able to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via telephone.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

The ability to maneuver up to 125 lbs. with assistance of equipment or other team members.
