Marketing Manager 

Nextech is looking for a highly motivated, innovative communicator to strategically plan, author and deliver compelling messages that convey the deep impact of our programs on individual students and teachers, as well as on the broader efforts to elevate conversations on K-12 computer science education and workforce development. This role will be instrumental in gaining exposure for the organization by actively seeking new ways to share our work and results. 

What We’re Looking For:

The successful individual will seek to: 

· Understanding the audiences (individual donors, corporate donors and foundations) Nextech is communicating with and what they are most interested in, 

· Create relevant and compelling messaging that helps those people foster a human connection to Nextech and the individuals benefiting from our efforts and 

· Deliver that messaging to those people through a variety of communications channels.  

Responsibilities: 

Brand Champion 

· Relentlessly pursue opportunities to amplify the voice of Nextech and its impact on the communities we serve

· Ensure consistent representation of Nextech’s voice across all channels of communication 

· Be the owner of all things marketing!! Content Marketing 

· Develop a functional content calendar for each of Nextech’s audiences, across all communication channels **

· Author original content, including: 

? Impact stories 

? Thought leadership pieces 

? Organizational announcements 

? Messaging for new programs and initiatives 

· Audit existing brand and program content for consistency in messaging and tone 

· Routinely review Nextech website to ensure content and call-to-action elements are aligned with our target audiences (perspective program participant, perspective individual donor, perspective institutional funder) 

**It is important to be be mindful of national campaigns / themes, including but not limited to Teacher Appreciation Day (Tuesday of the first full week in May), Computer Science Education Week (December), National Volunteer Week (4/10 - 4/16), American Education Week (last full week before Thanksgiving) 

Social Media Emphasis 

· Build and manage Nextech’s social media profiles and presence, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant. 

· Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content 

· Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our organization, partners and industry 

· Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target audiences Email Marketing Production 

· Responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of email marketing programs using Constant Contact software. 

· Build email campaigns, database selection, HTML presentation and quality assurance of all outbound campaigns. 

· Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing and deployment of campaigns.

· Collaborator/ Communicator: Excellent organization, and oral and written communication skills, including ability to translate complex information into clear messages for varied audiences. Experience and Educational Background Requirements 

· Experience managing the administration, development and implementation of a project, product, or program. 

· Experience managing or contributing to the creation of a variety of content mediums. 

· Experience in a non-profit or related organization. 

· Three years of digital content experience 

· Bachelor's degree
