SUMMARY
At TMHS, we provide power solutions for industrial battery and charging systems, as well as dock and door services. This includes the sale and service of new and used, rentals, batteries, chargers, and battery changing systems and more. We have recently expanded our customer offerings to include the installation of power charging stations with the sale of electric equipment, as well as dock and door installation and repairs.
As our lead Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing new and used AC/DC power chargers for electric industrial machinery, as well as power for dock pit levelers and roll-up doors. You will also be trained in the diagnostics and repair of power charging systems and material handling battery room service repairs. You will also assume the role as the TMHS RME (Responsible Managing Employee) for the C10 classification.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Report daily to the Atlanta branch and collect the daily service orders from the Service Manager and prepare for the daily work tasks.
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of charging stations, power doors and dock levelers.
- Run conduit, pull wires, and make connections with no assistance.
- Maintain parts inventory and availability.
- Organize paperwork, on-line with web-based tools, for drawings, project management, timesheets, and service call documentation.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain work area and vehicle per safety, efficiency, cleanliness and ASEC compliance standards.
- Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies, reporting and correcting any hazardous conditions.
- Coach, train, and mentor junior electricians as requested.
- All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years’ commercial/industrial electrician experience required.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma / GED
Georgia State Journeyman certification
Required License: Class A Commercial Driver’s License
WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting/Standing/Walking
- The ability to lift to 50 pounds with frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling into confined spaces.
Speaking/Hearing
- Ability to speak read and write English fluently
- Clear diction, correct grammar and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with clients, vendors, management and other employees.
Vision
- Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to be effective in this role
