Position Description 

Senior Personal Assistant. This role is a hybrid between a typical executive assistant and bookkeeping/accounting role.  Monroe Capital is seeking an energetic, experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong organizational, accounting, paralegal and finance background with excellent written and oral communication skills. This role will support the personal day-to-day scheduling, travel and accounting/bookkeeping for the President and be expected to perform their duties with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and accuracy.


Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will have experience with the following: 

  • Scheduling calendar items and meetings in MS Outlook  
  • Coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements. Developing itineraries, booking flights, and making arrangements for ground transportation, meeting facilities, and hotel reservations  
  • Managing and processing relevant professional, event, and travel reimbursements 
  • Editing and proofreading documents to ensure accuracy 
  • Preparing various excel based financial analysis on an as needed basis 
  • Preparing professional PowerPoint presentations and internal/external communication 
  • Coordinating with various professional advisory firms including tax, legal and finance 
  • Managing multiple workflows and ensuring all assigned work is delivered within scope, on schedule, and that quality levels are consistent with the President’s expectations  
Requirements

An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Proficient with other software/cloud based software including Concur, Paylocity and Power BI  
  • Possess the ability to read and understand financial statements, financial data, processes, and procedures  
  • Experience operating within a multiple legal entity corporate structure 
  • Professional demeanor with strong, consistent work ethic 
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with high proficiency for correct spelling, grammar, tone and syntax 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and projects 
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential information 
  • Operate with a solutions-based mindset  

Skills, Experience and Requirements 

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree 
  • 10+ years working in an office environment in a C-Suite executive support role 
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Experience with CRM type software 
  • Financial services industry background preferred 
  • Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Results oriented. 
  • Willingness to adapt to change and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong teamwork ability. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize. 
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
