The Access Control Division Manager oversees the Access Control and Locksmith division at McKinney. This role entails ensuring the timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects, optimizing profitability, and overseeing P&L. Responsibilities encompass coordinating with Project Managers, jobsite staff, and managing onsite field technicians. The manager actively oversees all departmental facets, including labor estimation, labor scheduling, and communication with both the internal project team and external parties.


  Primary Responsibilities:

· Approach all tasks with a 'Safety First' mindset.

· Enforce safety within the department, adhering to OSHA regulations and the company's safety program.

· Investigate all accident claims within the department.

· Maintain a positive, results-oriented attitude that fosters teamwork with peers, subordinates, operations, other support functions, and suppliers while driving significant change.

· Manage all P&L within the access control division.

· Compile and analyze labor and material costs for each job upon completion.

· Project and schedule manpower to complete projects as required.

· Hire subcontractors and employees as needed.

· Organize, plan, and manage the daily tasks and operations of the division.

· Evaluate the division's performance and identify areas of improvement.

· Provide technical direction and professional support to division personnel.

· Ensure staff members adhere to the division's policies and procedures.

· Assist with employee recruitment, overseeing the onboarding process and training of new staff members.

· Collaborate with the financial department to plan and develop the division's monthly budget.

· Review office operations and report any issues to senior management.

· Work with the HR department to resolve all inter-division disputes and conflicts.

· Maintain accurate records of labor and materials for each job.

· Work directly with the field to ensure projects stay on time and on/under budget.

· Keep inventory of materials for each project.

· Maintain weekly labor reports, categorized by work type.

· Complete all project billing.

· Estimate all labor for projects during the bidding process.

· Review and audit employee timecards in Paylocity.

· Provide proactive leadership throughout the entire project, collaborating regularly with the project management department to ensure a complete understanding of the project.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree preferred.

· Combined 5-7 years of experience in access control and/or locksmithing department management.

· Valid driver's license.

· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening prior to emplpoyment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· 7-10 years of experience in access control department management.

· Experience with Comsense ERP software.
