Description
The American Land Title Association (ALTA), founded in 1907, is the national trade association and voice of the abstract and title insurance industry. ALTA members search, review and insure land titles to protect home buyers and mortgage lenders who invest in real estate.
We are in search of qualified candidates to support our Accounting Department as an Accounting Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance files and records according to the ALTA Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Create weekly payment batches
- Assist with A/R and A/P
- Assist with refund request and maintain the refund master file
- Assist in researching accounting inquiries
- Reception desk coverage as needed (answer phones, greet visitors, respond to email)
- Assisting the Membership Department with other projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree;
- At least one year experience in accounting/finance department support, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus
- Experiences with membership databases (i.e. Impexium) is a plus
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Position located in Washington, DC.
Salary Description
$17 - $23 Hourly range
