The Federal Savings Bank, a veteran-owned, federally chartered private bank, is expanding our sales team in Melville, NY! We are hiring a Junior Mortgage Banker to join our thriving team under the mentorship of a high-producing Senior Vice President. Mortgage industry experience is not required! This is an entry-level position for those with a drive for career advancement. This is an onsite position; all applicants must have the ability to work full time in our office in Melville, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply critical sales techniques through hands-on sales coaching from successful Mortgage Bankers and the BEST Training team in the mortgage industry!
- Support top producing Senior Mortgage Banker(s) with sales activities and follow up
- Utilize Encompass Loan Origination Software (LOS) and Automated Underwriting Software (AUS)
- Managing mortgage banker leads in our CRM
- Provide fantastic customer service to Bankers, clients, and referral sources
- Consistently exceed borrower expectations. Always giving "Wow" service!
- Attend weekly National Sales Meetings
- Follow the training plan and advance to a Senior Mortgage Banker role in under 12 months!
Requirements
- Must be able to commit to working in-office in Melville, NY 5 days a week; this is not a remote or work-from-home position
- 4 year college degree or commensurate sales industry or military experience
- Must be comfortable making cold calls
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and require minimal supervision
- Must have a friendly, outgoing, engaging, and positive-focused personality
- Must be a team-player
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must have favorable background and credit standing
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is a plus
Salary Description
$33,300 - $36,000 base salary plus commission
