About the Role:

Carpenters engage in a wide range of construction tasks while adhering to company and OSHA safety regulations. This role involves the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures crafted from wood, plywood, and wallboard, as directed by the project team and Lead Carpenter. Carpenters must showcase attention to detail, rational decision making, and commitment to quality and teamwork. 


Essential Functions:

  • Understand and master carpentry techniques of installation and construction
  • Read blueprints, sketches, or building plans with sufficient understanding 
  • Install wall backing and strapping (ex. steel stud framing)
  • Build rough structures such as concrete forms
  • Clean and maintain equipment and worksite daily
  • Build guardrail systems, window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings 
  • Assemble and install furniture, cabinets, and other prefabricated materials 
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures
  • Assist in daily safety audits and corrections 
  • Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location every day
  • Current driver’s license, valid for the past consecutive 12 months
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Fluent in understanding and speaking English 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • 3-5 years of construction experience preferred 
  • Must supply your own tool bags and hand tools 
  • Basic understanding of fall protection harnesses and lanyards 
  • Proficient in safely using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools 
  • Strong understanding of basic math
  • Completed 10-hour OSHA Training Course within the first three months of employment (company sponsored).
  • Completed First Aid/CPR Training Course within the first three months of employment (company sponsored).
