What you will be doing:


The Academic Enrollment Specialist assists students and staff with a variety of academic services while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies. The Academic Enrollment Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the academic record for all students and for the processing and retention of all enrollment information. The Academic Enrollment Specialist will play an integral role in the Office of the Registrar. 


General Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of student records
  • Perform review of incoming enrollment documents and process new student enrollments
  • Process student cancellations, start date changes, and student status changes
  • Determine student billing methods and ensure funding requirements are met for admissibility
  • Notify potential students of official admittance and/or denied admission
  • Register students for courses and make manual adjustments to schedules and terms
  • Utilize reporting tools and functions within the student information system to create reports, automate processes and ensure accuracy of data
  • Evaluate transcripts, awards transfer credit, and notify students after official review 
  • Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures and system processes 
  • Guide student through the transcript request process
  • Collection and ordering of student transcript request forms
  • Reconciliation of grades and attendance in the Student Information System (SIS)
  • Determine students system graduation eligibility
  • Verify FERPA and consent requests
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Contributes to the overall success of the Office of the Registrar by performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • One year or more experience in the Office of the Registrar
  • Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Computer skills with the ability to work with various software including Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize during high volume work
  • Experience with Anthology (Campus Vue/Campus Nexus) preferred
  • Ability to work within specified work flows and processes

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, working from a monitor, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.  
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time.
  • Regular activities include moving around the office and walking to other departments throughout the building.
  • Occasional lifting required of up to 20 pounds.

Salary Description
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
