JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Control Field Technician to support our Apartment Replacement and Single-Family Sales teams. The Quality Control Field Technician is an hourly position and reports directly to the Operations and Install Manager with the responsibility to oversee the quality of installation work and provide or arrange repairs related to commercial flooring projects that will maximize job profitability while adhering to company policies and procedures.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Check-in regularly on the work performed by installers on all projects.

Attend project and foremen meetings as necessary.

Manage all job site cleanup, schedules and pre-punch list. Punch list to be done on scheduled times.

Measure all aspects of entire job to make sure we have enough product on each job and completing all checkoff/punch list sheets attached for each product.

Coordinate with sales team to ensure all projects are done timely and on scheduled time frames, managing them to completion and sign off.

Travel to commercial customers and oversee repairs for damaged or broken items, including product both in and out of warranty.

Coordinate with sales team and customers regarding any quality control or repair issues; follow-up regarding any changes to the schedule or planned repair.

Complete accurate reports once repairs are finished, including a record of time worked, and repairs completed.

Lift or move items, if needed, while inspecting work or overseeing repairs.

Assist as requested with warehouse inventory to ensure parts are available to service all repairs.

Understand/ learn product knowledge and installation.

Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Two to three years’ minimum experience in flooring or construction related to the position; five years of experience preferred.
  • Other technical repair experience, such as vehicles or computers, considered as part of the overall experience qualification.
  • Diagnostic skills and the ability to read blueprints, as applicable to the position.
