Atlanta Track Club is a nonprofit committed to creating an active and healthy Atlanta. Through running and walking, Atlanta Track Club motivates, inspires, and engages the community to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. With 30,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second-largest running organization in the United States. In addition to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race – the largest 10K running event in the world, the Publix Atlanta Marathon, the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, Atlanta Track Club directs more than 30 events annually. Through the support of its members and volunteers, Atlanta Track Club also maintains a number of community initiatives including organizing and promoting its Kilometer Kids youth running program to metro Atlanta youth.


Position Overview: Reporting to the Director – Marketing and Communications, this position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to learn and utilize marketing tools such as email marketing platforms, CRM, Google Analytics etc. The ideal candidate has a sales-minded personality, creativity, and an understanding of Atlanta Track Club’s mission and values.  This role’s primary goal is to drive registrations for Atlanta Track Club events and programs. The candidate must be detail-oriented; possess strong time management skills, have the ability to work under deadlines and be comfortable and prepared to adapt and respond to unexpected changes.  The person who accepts this role has experience in the running, sports and/or events industry. Additionally, this person must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays.


Responsibilities Include:

·  Develop and execute world-class marketing and communication plans to increase local, regional and national awareness of and participation in Atlanta Track Club events, programs, and membership

·  Integrate digital, print, radio, social, outdoor media assets and grassroots marketing initiatives into a comprehensive and sustainable marketing plan such that successful growth can be achieved, tracked and duplicated.

·  Collaborating with sponsors, vendors, and other partners to maximize exposure for events and enhance the participant experience. This may involve negotiating partnership agreements, coordinating promotional activities, and managing sponsor relationships. 

·  Engaging with the running community and potential participants through active communication and community outreach efforts. This includes responding to inquiries, providing information about events, and fostering a sense of community among participants.

·  Work as a member of the marketing department’s activation team to ensure top notch experiential marketing Atlanta Track Club events and number pick ups, and expos. 

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or other related field 

·  1 to 3 years of experience in non-profit or event marketing

·  Strong written and oral communication and customer success skills.

·  Working knowledge in MS Office and experience in database management.

·  Working knowledge in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

·  Experience with WordPress or comparable website platform.

·  Experience using email marketing platforms and CRM. 

·  Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.

·  Excellent problem-solving, decision making and interpersonal skills.

·  Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure smooth execution of marketing campaigns and events.

·  Proven track record of taking initiative and proactively identifying opportunities for event promotion and audience engagement.

·  Demonstrated ability to generate innovative ideas, anticipate market trends, and implement proactive marketing strategies to achieve organizational objectives.

·  Willingness to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed.

·  Ability to lift boxes and other items up to 40 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet and load them into trucks and other operational vehicles.
