IGS is currently recruiting for a remote Senior Solutions Architect, Medical Devices to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA).


Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access customer systems and therein using approved customer provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.


Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Document data architecture of existing environments.
  • Create high-level architecture diagrams of required data storage needs for cloud
  • Document data cleaning requirements to effectively analyze medical device data
  • Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client systems.
  • Define and maintain Data Integration Architecture to allow the managing of data flows.
  • Produce supporting data architecture artifacts, documents, data flow diagrams, gap analyses; define, and maintain data models.
  • Create mock-up reports/dashboards to identify the analytics that meet customer needs
  • Adhere to best practices of most recent technology such as Cloud data architecture and data engineering techniques.
  • Work closely with teams to design and optimize data access, query, reporting, and analysis strategies.
  • Provide guidance to teams for maintaining database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
Requirements
  • MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or closely related fields.
  • 10+/5+ years of work-related experience in medical device, including legacy devices: device types, operating systems, communication protocols, device patches and vulnerable technology. (Claroty (Medigate), Armis, Asimily, Ordr, and others) 
  • Scientific computing experience including software development in scientific programming languages like C/C++, and Python.
  • Expertise in streaming data processing.
  • Excellent communication skills particularly in the presentation of highly technical material.
  • Must enjoy interacting with forward-thinking people, life-long learning, and staying on the cutting edge of the domain 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement.

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
