Description

PUYALLUP TRIBAL HEALTH AUTHORITY, located in Tacoma, Washington is seeking a full time Systems Analyst. This position applies comprehensive industry functional knowledge to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Systems Analyst is responsible for a broad range of activities surrounding the design, implementation, development, roubleshooting, administration and ongoing support of standardized integrated health care information systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Acquire and maintain current comprehensive knowledge of the applications involved to determine  what workflow issues versus system/application deficiencies are. 
  • Effectively interact with the IT Director, IT staff, and end users in application modifications,  enhancements, projects, altering workflow processes, and assist in developing technical requirements. 
  • Analyze and evaluate processes related to information flow. Log all problems upon receipt,  document problem resolution within 24 hours of ticket closure, and escalate those requiring a higher level of technical support to the appropriate person or team. 
  • Work with software vendors to resolve application errors, investigate application performance issues  or to request new application functionality. 
  • Perform analysis, programming, template and document development and testing within defined time frames.  
  • Responsible for monthly monitoring of application change management, version control, upgrades,  and data integrity. 
  • As directed backup and restore SQL databases. Create and maintain stored procedures and  scheduled tasks to automate reoccurring tasks. 
  • As directed create, modify and distribute ad hoc reports using SQL and/or SSRS to fulfill the internal  stakeholder’s requirements. Distribute reports to the end user through SSRS, Excel or Crystal Reports  as required. 
  • Perform ad-hoc database analysis, maintenance, programming, testing, and create reports using  various reporting platforms within defined time frames.  
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting interfaces  between multiple systems as needed.  
  • Assist with preparing flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow  and to describe logical operations involved as needed. 
  • Setup and deploy components for end user use within database solution products. 
  • Maintain and report status on assigned tasks daily, weekly, monthly or as needed. 
Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or Database Technology or  related field required -OR- three (3) years’ experience as a database developer and/or system analyst. 
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an SQL administrator or writing SQL based reports.
  • One (1) year development experience in C Sharp preferred. 
Salary Description
$35.00 - $52.00 per hour
