JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Showroom Coordinator to join our team! The ideal professional for this role has the ability to: provide excellent customer service to our customers with a basic understanding of our current products (with training, of course), and retail processes. This role is the perfect gateway to building a career in interior design, store operations, customer service, commercial sales, and more!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This role focuses on providing excellent customer service. You’re the first person that customers see when they walk into the showroom, so your friendliness and the ability to make an inviting professional atmosphere makes all the difference!

Each day you walk into the showroom, you’ll start off by making sure that the front desk is nice and neat before you sit down and check your emails and answer the phones. As customers walk in, you’ll greet them and ask if they need any help; the designers and sales professional will take it from there. Throughout the day, you’ll handle cash and orders, take care of customer service issues, take inventory and accessorize the showroom (here’s where your design skills come into play!), organize samples, and complete any various administrative tasks. You’ll get to learn the full scope of different designs and products over time and really build those interior design skills! At the end of the day, you’ll finish by locking up and closing the store.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

For this particular role, we’re on the lookout for someone who has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of customer service under their belt, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a great attention to detail. Bonus points if you are currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design!
