The American Land Title Association seeks an IT Helpdesk Intern. The successful candidate will work in the Washington, DC office and assist the IT Manager in all aspects of IT support for this national trade association. Scope of the internship will include Tier 1 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, office equipment (e.g. VoIP phones, mobile phones, printers, multi-function office machines), and individual user mentoring for effective use of IT resources. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Resolving Tier 1 user support tickets, including assistance with:

o Computer, hardware, and software setup 

o Resolving issues with software products 

o Resolving issues with printing, scanning, and faxing

o Meeting room setup and troubleshooting 

o Drafting and updating user guides and documentation 

o Meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, GoToMeeting, Zoom)

• Contributing to the overall success of ALTA’s IT and Admin Teams, including front desk backup and phone coverage as needed 
• Other duties as assigned (e.g. help with major meeting preparations)

Skills and Abilities Requirements

• Familiarity with hardware and software installations 
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows 10 
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat 
• Familiarity with Android and iOS devices
• Basic working knowledge of printers, scanners, fax machines, and shredders
• Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States, or hold a visa that permits work in the United States without being sponsored by an employer

Additional Information

• Hours: Full-time/defined as 30-35 hours weekly; availability must include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays onsite at HQ; temporary; non-exempt (summer/seasonal)
• Wage: $18/hour
