The Urology Group is interviewing for a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist to form benefits and eligibility verification. The position is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm in our Norwood business office. 

Duties:

• Determine benefits and collects prepayments from patients.
• Work with insurance companies to verify patient eligibility, coinsurance and deductible information.
• Discuss payment expectations and collect prepayments prior to appointments.
• Set up payment plans with patients unable to pay bills in full at time of service.
• Prepare self-pay quotes in coordination with supervisor.
• Interview patients to obtain accurate and complete demographic information.
• Work with divisions to obtain and provide requested information.
• Answers billing calls.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
