What you will be doing

The role is responsible for the P&L and all aspects of our core product offerings. We are seeking a general manager who’s a born leader. This person should have experience in overseeing business operations as well as human resources, finance, and communications. The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator who has a strong ability to delegate responsibility, roll - up their sleeves when needed and collaborate across a range of departments. Ultimately, the general manager should be driven by a desire to lead our business to maximum profitability, productivity and efficiency.

How you will get the job done

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop a strategic plan and annual calendar for managing API’s core product offerings.
  • Responsible for the department's P&L, forecasting, delivery, operational processes, KPI reporting and policies in support of the organization's strategic vision.
  • Work with other departments (Marketing, Sales and Finance), through the coordination and communication between the business functions.
  • Responsible for short-term and long-term planning, drive initiatives throughout the management team and in the organization that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between departments through communication with managers for successful catalog management.
  • Manage all facets (strategy, processes, systems, reporting) surrounding the pricing of products.
  • Conduct reoccuring operational meetings with delivery teams to review current demand, fulfillment and customer surveys.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth.
  • Ensure attention to detail to validate the utmost accuracy in our programming catalog, and manage the program catalog at least 36 months into the future.
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of business principles and practices; follows all policies and procedures to support a collaborative working environment.
  • Comply with all API policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Accountability: Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance, ensuring accuracy and documentation.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with our staff and customers, both verbal and written.
  • Leadership: Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress across departments.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment and job sites.

FINANCIAL

  • Responsible for the financial management, planning, systems, and controls.
  • Continuously conduct financial reviews to remain current on the state of the business.
  • Audit and advise on department overhead.
  • Prepare, review and forecast financial budgets for the upcoming year.

PROJECT BASED

  • Oversee all projects in collaboration with Product Managers to build and improve the APIConnect technology.
  • Attending meetings to create scope of work and estimate in collaboration with key stakeholders.

MARKETING

  • Support and source marketing opportunities.
  • Prepare, review and pool resources with other members of the management team to review business development, upcoming marketing opportunities.
  • Attend industry conferences, meetings and training seminars for continual growth and development of network.

  • Intermediate computer experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Google Suite.
  • Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested.

KEY EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma, preferably in, Business Management.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a general manager or brand manager.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a leadership role.

Salary Description
$120,000 - $150,000
