Stockroom/Parts Attendant
Description

The stockroom/parts attendant performs a variety of physical and administrative tasks to assist the Purchasing Agent in maintaining a neat, orderly, and accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and materials that are needed for all aspects of plant operation. These tasks include:

  

· Receiving all incoming materials, while ensuring processes are followed to maintain inventory accuracy

· Shipping of goods and handling of returns utilizing a variety of vendors, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and International carriers.

· Assisting with monitoring parts room inventory and performing inventory control functions

· Assisting with writing stock requisitions and placing stock and consumable items orders

· Ensuring cleanliness and organization of Parts Room

· Working with Maintenance Personnel to ensure required parts are on hand

· Serving as back-up to Purchasing Agent 

· Assisting with obtaining vendor pricing and availability of requested items

· Operating Forklift and Baler Equipment and performing a variety of administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

  

· Strong computer and typing skills

· Strong attention-to-detail, organizational skills

· Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all types of people

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to operate Forklift and Baler Equipment in a safe manner
