JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Cabinet Design Assistant to come work with our Cabinet Design team. A perfect professional for this role has the ability to: assist the design team in reaching specific sales goals, provide excellent customer service to our customers with a great understanding of our current products (with training, of course), and really grow into their role.
This role has a lot of opportunity for growth, so while you’ll start out on the retail side, you may eventually find yourself working with home builders as well.
At Nonn’s, we offer an endless array of different careers in all types of environments! Where you start your journey with us is just the beginning of a bright future full of even more opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
As a valued Cabinet Design Assistant, you’ll be working alongside a seasoned Cabinet Designer. While this designer will take the lead on projects, you’ll come in and be the deputy in charge of reviewing floor plans on the retail side of the business, coming up with product selections and assisting in carefully crafting bids that consider what products are going to meet the customers’ budget and style.
A typical day in the role: you’ll connect with the lead Cabinet Designer on the status of current projects and any outstanding items. You may go onsite to customer spaces to take measurements of their space and come back to the office to input them into 20/20. This is where your design expertise comes in; you’ll assist in designing a layout that fits the customer’s vision and budget and work with the designer to present it to the customer. The more you do this, and the more customers like your work, the closer you will become to starting your role as a full-time designer!
