Basic Function

The Logistics Department organizes shipments across a vast region and requires skilled coordinators to ensure our supply chains run smoothly. A logistics coordinator must have an eye for detail, a keen analytical mind, and the ability to handle a system with numerous moving parts. This key role requires high engagement, patience, and the ability to maintain an objective mindset. Through collaborative continuous improvement, we aim to make the logistics processes efficient and effective while maintaining solid partnerships to service internal and external customers at a high level.  



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  1. Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. 
  2. Build orders into shipments, select a carrier, and issue freight tender agreements. 
  3. Utilize available resources to locate creative, cost-effective, and service-driven ways for moving shipments.   
  4. Engage in regular communication with partner carriers and internal/external customers. 
  5. Distribute well-balanced shipping/receiving schedules  
  6. Address errors to promote customer satisfaction 
  7. Monitor carrier compliance to Catania Oils expectations and policies 
  8. Field revisions or general inquiries for orders and ensure that the necessary parties are updated. 
  9. Apply tracking tools to identify service delays proactively and collaborate with partners to find a resolution. 
  10. Provide Customer Service and Sales with competitive freight rates using company-issued tools. 
  11. Field carrier OS&D inquiries and initiate an internal investigation  
  12. Conduct freight-bill auditing to ensure accuracy   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • An HS diploma or equivalency is required. 
  • A minimum of two years in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment  
  • Strong customer service capabilities 
  • Strong communication skills
