The value you'll bring: The Cloud + Procurement Solutions Consultant will drive strategic and profitable revenue for Managed Solution’s cloud licensing and technology product practices through presales consulting, solution development, sales enablement, and sales operations. They will support department revenue growth among current and prospective clients, identifying tailored IT solutions, services, and products to address the unique requirements of our clients. The Cloud + Procurement Solutions Consultant will possess a deep understanding of our service offerings, particularly related to Microsoft cloud licensing, and a commitment to ongoing technical learning to effectively showcase the value and alignment of our solutions, even as technology evolves. In this highly customer-facing position, the Cloud + Procurement Solutions Consultant will be involved in both presales, sales, and post-sales operations related to the Procurement & Licensing department at Managed Solution. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Driving strategic cloud revenue sales around Microsoft licensing (including Microsoft365 and Azure), acting as a knowledge resource and consultant to clients, prospects, partners, and sales team members.  
  • Engaging in pre-sales functions to deliver appropriate technical solutions in alignment with client needs: levering expertise, conducting research, configuring products, providing/presenting product information, and working with vendors to secure discounts/special pricing.
  • Consistently achieving revenue goals for Licensing + Procurement by driving customer demand for cloud licensing, software, and hardware, responding effectively to client inquiries, and providing expertly aligned recommendations.
  • A successful Senior Cloud + Procurement Solutions Consultant will have a subject-matter expert level proficiency of and the ability to consult regarding solutions, including the technical specifications and the ability to quote pricing for products related to the following technologies: 
  • Microsoft365 Licensing
  • Microsoft Azure Licensing
  • Microsoft Server Licensing 
  • Additionally, leverages strong acumen across the technical stack to provide presales, quoting, and customer support related to Procurement + Licensing needs across the solutions spectrum (e.g., Cybersecurity, Networking, Server, Storage, Cloud and Backup Solutions) 
  • Acts as subject-matter expert for internal teams and on presales calls regarding the above solutions.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development, continuing to learn new products/solutions to provide quotes, deliver technical specifications, and discuss value propositions related to purchasing/licensing of new technologies/offerings.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and high levels of accountability in accordance with the department ethos, as well as Company’s core values and Customer Principles, including prompt response to incoming calls and emails; and proactive communication as required to advance the sales process.
  • Executing sales functions independently and collaboratively with the Procurement + Licensing team to provide quoting, purchasing, account management, mailbox/request ticket/call management, fulfillment, and quality assurance.
  • Acts as a liaison and client advocate for vendor tickets/product escalations related to purchases, client needs, etc.
  • Maintains compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as Company values.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Licensing and other technical certifications and expertise highly preferred (Azure, Office 365, Server, SPLA, Datacenter, Devices & Deployment, Planning Services, VLSC & Partner Network). Technical and Solution Sales Certifications from Partners highly desired (DELL, AWS, StorageCraft, Fortinet). Certification achievement and maintenance for Microsoft Licensing will be required for employment and must be attained within 90 days. The ideal candidate will already have this certification. Additional certification requirements may be added for ongoing employment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English), along with strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. 
  • The ability to lead technical sales conversations with an inquisitive approach. 
  • The ability to build relationships with clients and internal personnel; develop a professional rapport; make effective presentations (in person and in remote/hybrid environments); persuade, overcome objections; and maintain a dynamic and professional demeanor. 
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with ability to work effectively as part of a team or autonomously. 
  • Adherence to tight service level agreements (SLAs), prioritization, and deadlines, including proactive communication around turnaround timelines.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills with a track record of successfully developing action plans and driving issues to resolution in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Previous experience in selling computer technology, with a strong knowledge of IT products and services. 
  • Exposure to Enterprise markets is beneficial. 
  • Previous experience with Quoting & Contract Management software required (PandaDocs, Connectwise preferred); Cloud Portal Management (CSP,O365,AWS&Azure) highly desired.
  • Strong proficiency in common business applications (e.g., Office365, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
  • Documentation, client communication, and time management experience in ticketing systems (Connectwise) is preferred.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.

Shift + Availability: Monday through Friday, hours to be agreed upon based on Company needs. Presence at Company events, client meetings, conferences, and other activities may require occasional morning, evening, and/or weekend work, as assigned. Company operates in Pacific Time Zone, though some scheduling flexibility may be offered for employees in other regions.

Work Location/Remote Status: This position is eligible for remote work, within a state where Managed Solution has payroll operations. Employees will work from a home office within an assigned state. Your presence at our company headquarters in San Diego, CA; at meetings/conferences/off-site events; at client locations; or elsewhere, may be required on occasion. Employees in San Diego, CA or Pineville/Alexandria, LA may be required to report to a physical office location on a regular or full-time basis, depending on company needs.

Compensation & Benefits*

Base Wage Range: $31.25 to $41.00 per hour

Managed Solution considers a range of factors when determining an appropriate wage. Such factors include but are not limited to: years of related experience, industry knowledge, formal education, relevant certifications, and geographic location. Wages are paid as earned and in accordance with Company policies.
