Description

PUYALLUP TRIBAL HEALTH AUTHORITY, located in Tacoma, Washington is seeking an experienced Grants Manager! The Grant Manager will provide guidance and oversight for grant opportunities and funded projects for the PTHA. This position will help identify, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external sources, leading to the submittal of relevant grant opportunities at the Federal, State, local or foundation level. The Grants Manager will also work interdepartmentally to monitor performance, prepare reports and submit budgets for compliance purposes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate the grant writing process to allow for a reasoned and meaningful system of funding flow.  This will include completing grant applications and/or directing grants specialists to application  requirements.  
  • Identify grant opportunities that are relevant to the mission of PTHA and collaborate with relevant staff to prepare a response to grant opportunities.  
  • Coordinate internally to support program implementation, evaluation, budget development, updates  and reporting. Network and develop meaningful, productive relationships with funders and program officers. 
  • Establish priorities, track progress and monitor data, information, and actions for reporting, while  focusing on organizational objectives.  Ensure grant applications are submitted on time. Monitor grant progress. 
  • Coordinate contract compliance for grant awards, budget, scope of work, close-out documentation, funding agencies modifications and timely submission of reports.  
  • Coordinate and network with private, tribal, state, and federal agencies on funding opportunities. 
  • Conduct and compile data to identify potential grant funding resources within the community including  county, state, federal, and private foundations. 
  • Respond to specific requests for funding by PTHA leadership. 
  • Develop and maintain master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in health or management related discipline.
  • Three (3) years’ grant management, reporting, and compliance experience.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare requirements and socioeconomic difficulties that Indigenous communities face, as well as a commitment to advancing the provision of exceptional health services to the community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Salary Description
$80,000 - 90,000
