We are a rapidly scaling IT services organization, seeking a talented and experienced Director of Performance Marketing to leverage a combination of creative and analytical skills and deep business acumen to develop and execute innovative B2B marketing strategies to drive opportunities for strategic business growth. As a hands-on marketing leader with a deep interest in mentorship and leading teams, the Director of Performance Marketing will be both a strategic and tactical head of Managed Solution’s marketing function, responsible for ensuring its overall success and alignment with company goals. The Director of Performance Marketing is responsible for the following essential duties/responsibilities: 


What you’ll do:  

  

Marketing Strategy 

  • Responsible for the overall success of marketing with a focus on enabling strategic revenue growth, including the consistent achievement of goals related to marketing-influenced revenue.
  • In coordination with the VP of Sales + Marketing, develops, oversees, and coordinates with the the marketing team to deliver towards the overall marketing strategy, including the effective management of budgetary and internal/external resources to achieve associated deliverables and timelines.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of Managed Solution as a whole, including our customer base; target prospects; technical service and product offerings; competitive landscape; brand story; company culture; and other relevant artifacts.
  • Spearheads the organization's continued investment in digital strategy, managing digital campaigns, media, and content with a goal of driving new business and customer retention through elevated brand experience.
  • Leverages insights to propose enhancements to our marketing strategy to increase our brand reach/engagement and improve our customer experience within digital and in-person marketing contexts.

Delivering Effective Campaigns/Events Across Channels


  • Brings our brand vision to life by envisioning and coordinating innovative, impactful campaigns/events to support brand awareness, customer experience, and sales enablement. 
  • Creates content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments across all channels (online/offline/social). 
  • Designs and oversees promotional campaigns, PR, and other marketing efforts across print & digital channels. 

Performance Marketing


  • Optimizes inbound marketing efforts/conversion rates and oversees all paid acquisition efforts and related budgets.
  • Leverages HubSpot to track and manage marketing performance and enable sales success through lead scoring, workflow automation, reporting and more: performs/oversees A/B testing, lead flow monitoring, workflow creation, and otherwise activities. 
  • Leverages data and deep knowledge of digital/performance marketing to evaluate the success of projects and campaigns, remaining consistently connected to messaging, content strategy, and digital marketing initiatives and reporting back to stakeholders and leaders with wins and areas of opportunity. 

Department Leadership


  • Maintains a consistent view of current, ongoing, and upcoming marketing projects/campaigns/timelines as well as consistently tracks and reports on marketing ROI and KPIs to be able to tell the “story” of our current marketing efforts, as well as make apt recommendations to achieve better results.
  • Directly manages and effectively leverages internal and external resources. Managerial functions include directing daily activities of team members; providing mentorship and coaching; growth planning; interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; and advocating for team needs within the larger company structure. Coordinates effectively with the VP of Sales & Marketing and Director of People & Culture regarding resource needs, disciplinary actions, compensation/review, and other such matters to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Manages a range of vendors to support various aspects of the marketing function, including vendor selection, direct coordination/communication, and budgeting.

Other


  • Directly supports or coordinates team members to support various internal initiatives, strategies, and projects, as needed, including employer branding efforts, customer success initiatives, and more.
  • As a hands-on leader, the Director of Performance Marketing is responsible for any additional responsibilities or marketing and strategy support as directed by the VP of Sales & Marketing.
  • Responsible for compliance with company policies and procedures and demonstrating alignment with company values at all times.

What makes you a fit:  

  

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in marketing, along with 5+ years of marketing leadership, including team and budget management responsibilities. Prior experience leading marketing strategy in a B2B, service provider context is highly desired. Deep knowledge of digital campaigns and content strategy is required. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered. 
  • Demonstrated history of acting as a working-leader, with the willingness to jump “into the trenches” with team members to ensure projects/campaigns are successful and timely.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, are required.
  • Demonstrated success in a high-paced, rapidly-scaling business environment highly desired, including experience leading the marketing team at a company with ambitious revenue and headcount growth goals.

Technical Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent technical proficiency with deep knowledge of paid media/search, email, HubSpot, Canva, WordPress SEO, and other relevant platforms/technologies
  • Strong proficiency with inbound marketing platforms, including proficiency with administration, integrations, automation, and reporting functions (Hubspot preferred, certification highly desired)
  • Experience managing/overseeing a range of social media marketing tools in a professional setting (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency with standard business applications (MS Office – Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook; Microsoft Teams; Microsoft Viva)
  • Experience with management of large-scale events across various webinar platforms (Zoom, Teams)
Requirements

Work Location/Remote Status: This position is eligible for remote work, within a state where Managed Solution has payroll operations. Employees will work from a home office within an assigned state. Your presence at our company headquarters in San Diego, CA; at meetings/conferences/off-site events; at client locations; or elsewhere, may be required on occasion. 


Compensation & Benefits* 

Base Wage Range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year

Managed Solution considers a range of factors when determining an appropriate wage. Such factors include but are not limited to: years of related experience, industry knowledge, formal education, relevant certifications, and geographic location. Wages are paid as earned and in accordance with Company policies.
