Description

Provide centralized oversight and support for all grants and restricted funds. Ensure accounting, and reporting activities are complete and in compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements. Ensure related financial records and reporting are current with laws, regulations and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).


  Duties and Responsibilities:

· Serve as coordinator for grants and restricted funds management.

· Support budget holders and project managers with grant funds and reporting.

· Support Director of Grants by gathering documentation, creating budgets, providing analysis/ projections and other administrative functions.

· Maintain grant list and grant files.

· Assists with budget preparation and budget monitoring of grants and restricted funds.

· Manage general ledger account numbers and project numbers for grants and restricted funds.

· Prepare board briefs and resolutions relevant to area of responsibility.

· Work with other organizations outside organizations; including federal, state and local government as well as any organization who awards us grants.

· Process adjustments.

· Assist with month end closing.

· Assists with bank reconciliation as needed.

· Maintain fund advances, and return of advances.

· Maintain, track and compile reports as required for federal, state and local grants (revenues, expenses and balances).

· Monitor grant compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements.

· Participate in audit process.

· Research special projects as assigned.

· Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail and in-person.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Demonstrated knowledge of grants management and fund accounting.

· Demonstrated attention to detail.

· Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

· Computer skills utilizing MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, internet search functions and ability to use specialized financial software.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Ability to manage and maintain electronic data; proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, fund accounting, and web-based general ledger accounting software.

· Excellent problem solving skills; ability to gather and analyze data.

· Ability to reconcile transactions, balance accounts and prepare reports.

· Understanding of general office procedures, practices, and protocols.

· Effective interpersonal and customer service skills. 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

· 40-hour per week, Monday through Friday; some work on weekends or evenings may be required.

· May require business use of personal vehicle.

· Location: Primarily Wildwood Preserve. Will be required to travel to other parks in Lucas County.


Requirements

Education: Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related college program, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Moderate level of experience in accounting or finance and general knowledge of grants management procedures.

Standard office equipment such as computer, multi-function copy machine, calculator etc. 

Salary Description
$44,453.00 - $61,916.00 based on experience
