Head of IT

Remote USA; Colorado preferred

We are currently searching for our next team member within our G&A function as our Head of IT at

Enliven.


The Head of IT will be responsible for overseeing Enliven’s technology strategy, operations, vendor

resources, and overall IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Technology Strategy: developing and implementing an appropriate technology strategy and roadmap to support Enliven’s business goals and objectives, taking into account Enliven’s budget and stage of operation. IT Infrastructure: responsible for implementation and operation of Enliven’s infrastructure, including networks, servers, end user computers, and lab computers.
  • Information Security: overseeing the organization's information security program.
  • Data Management: ensuring the organization's data is accessible and secure, and developing cloud tools for data analysis, management, storage, and quality assurance. 
  • Project Management: own coordination, implementation and change management of IT projects, including AWS environment implementation.
  • IT Processes and Helpdesk: oversight over user and vendor onboarding, offboarding, lab support, and helpdesk; Assisting team members with emergency IT problems
  • Budgeting: developing and managing the IT department's budget in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Vendor Management: managing relationships with external technology vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the organization's needs and deliver value.
  • Compliance: collaborating with the legal department to draft and implement digital security policies and to ensure compliance of Enliven’s IT practices with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including GDPR and other privacy laws.
  • Technology Innovation: staying current with technology trends and identifying opportunities for innovation to improve business processes and outcomes.
  • Communication: Collaborating with other executives and departments to ensure technology initiatives align with business goals, and communicating IT plans and progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (graduate degree a plus).
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in IT operations.
  • Minimum two years’ experience overseeing IT projects and managing vendors.
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing business systems requirements in a biotechnology setting, including clinical trial data management, quality and GxP.
  • Proficiency with AWS, Microsoft Suite, and Apple products.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems.
  • Excellent project management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Very responsive and eager to help resolve team members’ IT problems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.



Full Time Exempt Position Dated: 4/29/2024


The expected salary range for this is $210,000 - $280,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience,

qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary

annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.


This is a full-time remote position (40 hours/week). Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call

work may be required as job duties demand. Occasional travel may be required.
