As the Community Engagement Manager, you will lead a small department in developing the marketing and community messages the library wishes to convey. You will also build relationships in the Fremont Public Library District, which encompasses 70% of Mundelein as well as parts of Grayslake, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, and Wauconda to discover the needs of this growing district and communicate the library's services to its residents. A detailed job desciption is provided below. 


Work Schedule: Full-Time Exempt; 40 hours per week, may include weekend or evening hours


Wage: $33/hour ($68,640 gross annual salary)

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about library services and programs and be able to motivate patrons and employees alike in sharing the library's purpose to engage the community, inspire creativity and enrich minds. 


Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing Journalism, or a related field and have at least 2 years of experience in a Public Relations, Marketing, or Community Engagement position. A proficiency in speaking Spanish is highly preferred. 


Must be able to work occasional evenings or weekends as to be present at essential community events, and possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different local organizations and businesses when necessary to promote the library.
