Description

Some of the industries served include plastics, laser, heat treating, food processing, machine tool, plating/ anodizing, chemical, die casting, optical coating, and printing.


Role


The Portable Chiller Assembler assembles all variety of portable chillers to include 1 – 14-ton EQ, SQ, and NQ portables, Basic Ink and Sub-Assemblies, 15-50ton portables, custom and special portables.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble portable chillers per drawings, schematics, and technical data efficiently
  • Trouble shoot design and assembly issues
  • Interact with members of other departments to improve processes and designs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Accurately interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Braze/solder copper efficiently without leaks
  • Bend pipe within required specifications
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States
  • Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment.

Physical and Mental Requirements


You will be expected to occasionally (1% to 20% of the time):

  • Lift objects from one level to another (over 80 lbs.)
  • Carry objects (over 80 lbs.)
  • Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, etc.
  • Stoop/crouch by bending your legs or bending down/forward at the waist
  • Reach by extending the hands/arms
  • Travel

You will be expected to frequently (21% to 50% of the time):

  • Walk around the facility on foot
  • Stand on your feet
  • Sit in a normal seated position
  • Add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance, and check results for accuracy

You will be expected to constantly (at least 51% of the time):

  • Understand, remember, apply, and communicate oral and/or written instructions or information
  • Understand and follow basic instructions
  • Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
  • Apply common sense
