Primary Duties and Responsibilities


The IT Systems Specialist will report to and work with the Managing Director of Information Technology to support and maintain all IT support and admin functions of the firm.  This position requires exceptional Windows and Office 365 admin knowledge, along with exceptional technical customer service skills. Job duties include:

  • Manage and resolve all help desk support requests, within a Windows based environment that utilizes Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Identity 
  • Deep Understanding of Filesharing using SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Creating and maintaining SharePoint Sites.
  • Work with Managing Director of IT, to create a ticketing system to categorize and maintain support requests.
  • Resolve, with white glove customer service, incoming client, and personnel IT queries remotely via email and phone, in addition to internal McAllister and Quinn on-site employees. 
  • Test and analyze IT system and software performance.
  • Avoid service interruptions by performing system installations, updates, and maintenance procedures using Azure Active Directory best practices.
  • Prepare application training manuals and FAQ materials for easy-access end-user guidance.
  • Document application procedures and train employees on internal usage of firm applications, including Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with Managing Director and outside vendors to ensure that IT needs are met.
  • Keeping informed of advancements in Information Technology and how new technologies can benefit/affect the firm.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
  • High level understanding of MS 365 Administration, Identity AD, MS Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. 
  • In-depth and commanding knowledge of Windows operating system, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various Azure nuances including email delivery issues GP updates and document resolution for future troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. You should be able to manage your own time, with minimal      supervision.
  • At least three years experience in an IT performance analysis and end-user support role.
  • Advanced collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to have an “outside the box” way of thinking while solving novel technical issues.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce highly desirable.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and enjoy a fast-paced office environment.
  • Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
  • Other duties as assigned by Managing Director of Information Technology.
  • Able to lift equipment not to exceed 50 pounds.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Normal work hours are 8:30 am through 5:30 pm Monday through Friday; Monday-Thursday in the Washington, DC office will      be required.

  • Salary consideration will be commensurate with experience. Salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 annual base salary and bonus eligibility.
