The Federal Savings Bank, a national bank and 5-time “50 Best Mortgage Companies to Work For” winner is hiring a Copywriter to join our growing Marketing Department. The Copywriter is responsible for writing clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice that aligns with The Federal Savings Bank's brand identity.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing Operations and is based in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago.

Qualified candidates must reside a commutable distance at the time of application and be available to work a hybrid schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Field general questions regarding copywriting and suggestions on content
• Collaborate with Marketing team on projects and campaigns (guides, flyers, email marketing, recruitment emails and job posts, social media, advertisements, and additional marketing collateral)
• Generate copy in English (fluency in Spanish is a plus, too!)
• Contribute to campaigns for both corporate and individual needs
• Proofread copy for grammar and accuracy
• Manage data and artwork for recurring campaigns
• Improve copy on existing collateral for clarity and readability
• Practice SEO principles for maximum reach 
• Adhere to standard copy practices 
• Maintain compliance and brand standards on all marketing material

Skills/Qualifications

• Available to work in our Chicago office on a hybrid schedule
• 1-2 years' of proven experience in a copywriter/editor role
• Bachelor's degree required: concentration in marketing, English, Journalism or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with Canva
• Strong research skills
• Creative and proactive thinker
• Collaborative spirit
• Superior time-management and organizational skills
• Must be able to proofread, edit, and write content in accordance with APA Style #OxfordCommasOrBust
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred but not required
