Position: Director, Key Accounts 


Role

The Director, Key Accounts is responsible for providing sales leadership and management of opportunities and serving as a primary point of contact for sales opportunities to defined key accounts. The ideal candidate will have total responsibility of managing sales and agents in the key account, to achieve quotas, and goals. This position will report to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing and is in the field.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate and manage all sales activities with designated accounts in complex, packaging, OEM, and high value accounts as identified annually including creation of a cross functional commercial activity playbook.
  • Create key account strategy and utilize account-based marketing to target specific accounts and contacts.
  • Coordinate with all support and sales groups within the company to manage opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data to determine sales strategy for each account.
  • Promote and execute corporate sales and marketing plans as determined by the company.
  • Define and deliver an account specific customized value proposition.
  • Use company tools to ensure tracking/forecasting activities are captured (e.g. Salesforce.com, MSFT teams, etc.)
Requirements

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Three (3) years industry experience (plastics) is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and/or ten (10)+ years of direct work experience.
  • Five (5)+ years in a similar capacity leading high value account growth and strategic/complex selling.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and respond appropriately to situations to the benefit of the customer; strong sense of urgency; ability to multitask and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-starter that has a track record of competing to win.
  • Travel: up to 50%
