Description

As an IT Security Analyst, you will be tasked with safeguarding our information systems and networks. Your role will involve monitoring network security, implementing and testing security measures, managing incident responses, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and organizational policies. This position requires a blend of technical and analytical skills to manage, protect, and optimize our IT infrastructure.

 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Network and System Security: Oversee and maintain network security protocols, ensure smooth connectivity, and      integrate server hardware and applications seamlessly. Implement and test security measures, including access controls, authentication, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Monitor Security Systems and Network Performance: Regularly check the organization’s security systems and network      performance metrics such as availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency. Identify and address any irregularities, breaches, or performance issues.
  • Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Assist in the response to security incidents. Troubleshoot complex issues and      outages.
  • Compliance, Auditing, and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all external regulations and internal policies. Assist in conducting both internal and external audits related to information security. Maintain detailed documentation.
  • Network Equipment Management:  Manage the deployment of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention      Systems (IPS). Develop and enforce content filtering policies to maintain network security and compliance.
  • IDS/IPS and Content Filtering: Manage the deployment of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention      Systems (IPS). Develop and enforce content filtering policies to maintain network security and compliance.
  • Security Awareness and Training: Conduct security awareness training sessions for IT staff and end-users, promoting best practices in network security and troubleshooting.
  • Research and Recommendations: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in network security. Make      recommendations to improve system administration, network design, performance, capacity, and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in PowerShell or Python preferred.
  • Hands-on experience configuring firewalls, switches, and setting up VPNs.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
