Grocery Associate

Job Summary

Stocks, replenishes and rotates merchandise on retail sales floor in accordance with standard operating procedures for the Grocery Department. Provides excellent customer service. Maintains a safe and clean environment throughout the store.  

Supervisory Responsibilities



  • Stocks shelves and displays, and keeps them clean, full and properly rotated at all times; creates displays as necessary.
  • Keeps aisles clean and clear from slip and trip hazards.
  • Takes inventory of shelf quantities and pulls from back stock to replenish products on shelves as necessary.
  • Assists customers in locating products and answers their questions about products.
  • Bags groceries at Customer Service Department during busy times as requested by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Works in a non-smoking store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.

Education And Experience (E = Essential D = Desired)

  • (E) High school degree or equivalent or current enrollment in school.
  • (D) 2 years retail experience.
