Lead Machine Operator

3rd Shift- Sunday-Thursday 


Overview: We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator who can also take on the responsibilities of a Lead Worker. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine operation techniques and possess leadership qualities to effectively guide and coordinate the team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities:


Machine Operation:

  • Operate assigned machines efficiently and safely according to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Perform changeovers of equipment, labels, bottles  when needed. Tr
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on products at various stages of the production process.


Lead Worker Duties:

  • Provide guidance and training to machine operators  to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, assign tasks to team members and ensure they are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • In the absence of the Production Supervisor, serve as a point of contact between the production team and management, relaying relevant information and feedback.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and adherence to company policies. 

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality  orientation.
  • Leadership abilities with experience in supervising or leading a team.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations 
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
