We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Custom Form Builder to join our woodshop team at Stonework's. In this role, you’ll be responsible for constructing high-quality forms used in the production of architectural cast stone. You’ll work hands-on with wood, tools, and machinery to create precise molds that bring architectural designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Build and finish forms to exact specifications and deadlines. 
• Read and interpret detailed shop drawings to construct forms accurately. 
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ensure the woodshop remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to deliver exceptional results.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
• Continually seek methods of controlling and reducing costs.
• Demonstrates good judgment and tact in solving problems and difficult situations.
• Maintains cooperative working relationships with plant and administrative personnel.
• Respects the confidentiality of the company, customers and personnel information.
• Makes the best use of time during working hours. Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of duties.
• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
   

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: Prior woodworking experience preferred (CNC experience a plus).
   
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
   
• Skills:
   
  • Strong mathematical and measurement abilities.
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship. 
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings. 
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.

Physical:

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. This position will be occasionally required to bend and stoop.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds utilizing team lifting or mechanical assistance as needed.
• Must be able to see and hear normal production equipment.
• Must be able to clearly see and distinguish colors and patterns.

Mental:

• Must have the ability to use and understand simple arithmetic and algebraic equations.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with a predominately English-speaking customer base.
• Must be able to work in an enclosed environment with other people.

Environment:

• The woodshop is an environmentally controlled area with no extremes of heat and cold.
• Production and storage areas are subject to extremes of the local environment particularly heat and cold.
