Location: Cynthiana, KY (Serves Harrison, Bourbon, Scott, and Nicholas Counties)

Schedule: PRN (as needed)

About the role:  

The Physical Therapy Assistant will directly assist the Physical Therapist in recovery treatments. This person will observe patients before, during and after undergoing therapy sessions and take consistent notes of their progress and health status for the Physical Therapist to review. When a Physical Therapist examines, diagnoses, and builds a treatment plan for a patient, the Physical Therapy Assistant will help the patient perform the exercises and mobility techniques as instructed by the Physical Therapist. They may also complete clerical duties like scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and emails, and sanitizing the therapy rooms after sessions. 


Requirements
  • Must have an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program from an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. 
  • Must be licensed in the state of Kentucky as a Physical Therapy Assistant. 
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. 
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage. 
  • 3- 5 years’ experience preferred, a minimum of two years’ experience with the frail and elderly preferred.  
  • Employees will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
Salary Description
$28.09-$36.51 per hour
