About the Program: Mountain Land Physical Therapy is offering a comprehensive Pre-Physical Therapy Pathway designed for individuals aspiring to enter Physical Therapy (PT) school. This program combines paid clinical experience with self-paced virtual educational resources to prepare participants for successful PT school applications.


Program Components:

  • Clinical Experience: Obtain a job as a Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) or Office Coordinator at any of Mountain Land's 70 outpatient clinics throughout Idaho, Utah, and Montana, to gain hands-on experience. Once you work for at least 1 month at Mountain Land, you can apply to gain access to the educational modules.
  • Educational Modules: Access approximately 30 hours of informative videos covering topics such as:
    • Resume Building
    • Writing Personal Statements
    • Securing Letters of Recommendation
    • Admission Interview Preparation
    • Financial Planning
    • Ethics in Physical Therapy
    • Advocating for the PT Profession
    • PT Writing and Documentation
    • Social Success in PT School
    • Prioritizing Tasks

Benefits:

  • Scholarship: $3,000 scholarship for program graduates who complete 800 hours as a Mountain Land Physical Therapy employee, or partner clinic which includes Therapy West, RPT and Superior PT ($1,500 scholarship for PTA school).
  • Compensation:
    • $10–$11 per hour as a PT Tech.
    • $14–$17 per hour as a Front Office Coordinator (full-time required).
  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 sign-on bonus if hired back at Mountain Land as your first PT job after DPT school ($1,500 for PTAs).
  • Enhanced preparation for PT school applications, with a goal of 100% participant readiness upon program completion.

Requirements
  • Interest in the medical field.
  • Availability of at least 10 hours per week on average to work as PT Tech or Front Office Coordinator.
  • Must be employed at Mountain Land for at least 1-month before gaining access to the educational modules.
