Role

The Heat Transfer Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales within an assigned geographical territory to meet corporate objectives while focusing on support of Heat Transfer Sales and Technical expertise as needed in the field. This position will report to the National Sales Manager and is located in the field.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Field travel with the sales representative, being seen as the technical resource for all Heat Transfer applications and technical presentations; 
  • Tactically plan interfacing with the sales representative, applications engineer, and regional  managers to determine a successful strategy for each opportunity before any work is started on the quotation; 
  • Field travel with the sales representatives on opportunities early in the sales cycle to reinforce the long-term customer relationship and the strategy for each customer or potential customers; 
  • Build on our existing customer base, expanding the portfolio of equipment that customers could be purchasing from Conair; 
  • Constantly look for non-Conair customer opportunities and understand the importance of handling those opportunities differently; 
  • Maintain and utilize the CRM software to develop a Conair knowledge base of each customer; 
  • Strong working knowledge of the Heat Transfer industry as it applies to the Conair equipment offering; 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business  Administration (or related field) and/or ten (10)+ years of direct work  experience without formal education;
  • Position typically expects six  (6)+ years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position and in area of supervision with one (1) year of leadership responsibility;
  • Minimum five (5) years of field sales experience;
  • Process cooling experience and/or HVAC background preferred;
  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external teams;
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask with supervisory guidance while maintaining high standards of quality;
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and salesforce.com is required;
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Adaptable and able to effectively manage in a dynamic environment;
  • Must develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.
