Mechanical Designer
Description
  • Create and refine detailed 3D part and assembly models using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain a library of standard components and assembly models.
  • Work closely with Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers, and Design Engineers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project scope.
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing during production, ensuring design specifications are met.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing innovative design solutions.
  • Assist in the development and testing of prototypes to validate design performance and functionality.
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Drafting, or a related field, or 5+ years of design experience in the industrial equipment industry.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo/ProE)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
