Description
- Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure designs meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Prepare technical sales drawings for customer approval before manufacturing.
- Review and check all designs and drawings for accuracy and manufacturability before manufacturing.
- Create bill of materials using ERP system.
- Assist in the development and testing of prototypes to validate design performance and functionality
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design iterations and revisions.
- Consult with engineering and mfg. teams, ensuring designs are feasible and meet engineering standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to production and quality teams during the manufacturing process.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize designs for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing innovative design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Drafting, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in product design and development for manufacturing, including sheet metal and machined parts.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, PP, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
