QMHS - Qualified Mental Health Specialist at Racing for Recovery job responsibilities: 

  • Provide quality mental health services and other daily activities to clients. 
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationship internally and externally. 
  • Facilitates group activities and development. 
  • Assists with activities appropriate for group’s level of functioning. 
  • Encourages development of positive attitudes, self-image, and social skills by providing a positive role model. 
  • Communicates with Racing for Recovery staff and clients in a professional manner.
  • Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient records information confidential.
  • Serves and protects Racing for Recovery by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and CARF Standards. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, to the need of the agency deemed necessary and appropriate.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SUD Experience Preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mental health
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Empathy, Humility, and Gratitude
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License to transport clients.
Salary Description
$18 - $20/hr
