Description

The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that fights for equity for all women and families. We’re passionate about making change on big issues such as equal pay for all women, paid leave for working families and access to affordable health care that provides abortion and reproductive care. We advocate on the Hill and for federal, state and local policy.


We are seeking a Development Intern to join our Development team to help with fundraising efforts to support our work on the issues of health care, reproductive rights, and fairness in the workplace. The internship runs from September to December. and operates in a hybrid office environment in Washington, DC. In this role, you will gain experience in many aspects of nonprofit fundraising including X.


As a Development Intern, you will:

  • Draft donor acknowledgements and assist with donor communications and stewardship correspondence
  • Create compelling and timely content about the National Partnership’s fundraising priorities and results for use in print, electronic, and other communication channels
  • Organize fundraising and campaign information for effective presentation in publications, websites, and other media

Qualifications

  • Interest or prior experience in nonprofit development fundraising or operations
  • Strong writing, communication, research, analysis and computer skills
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks for different projects
  • A commitment to the Partnership’s mission to improve the lives of women and families by achieving equality for all women
