NRF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Salesforce Developer to elevate our Salesforce ecosystem. This role is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, working alongside key partners to develop and enhance Salesforce functionality that aligns with NRF's strategic, data-driven initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in optimizing our CRM platform and driving organizational growth.


Essential Functions:

  • Enhance Reporting and Data Insights: Maintain, create, and elevate reporting on user engagement across Membership platforms.  Leverage Salesforce, Excel, and other vendor platforms to present actionable insights to leadership on a regular basis.
  • Customize Salesforce: Design and manage standard and custom objects, fields, formulas, page layouts, record types, and other Salesforce components to meet NRF's evolving needs.
  • Manage Data: Import, export, and manipulate data using ETL tools such as Data Loader or Data Import Wizard.
  • Provide Expert Support: Offer end-user education and support within Salesforce and Nimble systems, including any integrated third-party applications.  Maintain exceptional support levels by adhering to SLAs for response and resolution of user requests, bugs, or system requirements.
  • Collaborate on Data Strategy: Partner with the internal Data Team to understand business requirements and develop accurate reports, dashboards, and processes that provide valuable insights into association management and member performance.
  • Document and Optimize: Document system processes for front office, middle office, and back-office functionality (record creation, project setup, membership management, financial management, etc.). Contribute to the enhancement and monitoring of data quality within the system, managing duplicate records, member data, reports, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage permissions and reporting requirements for new hires, including systems, tools, hardware, and tech setup/troubleshooting.
  • Maintain an accurate list of active users.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Required Experience: Minimum 6 years of developer experience, with at least 3 years leading requirements gathering process. At least one year of experience working in a CRM environment, with Salesforce experience. 
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administration required.
  • Preferred Experience: Nimble experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience leading requirements Strong understanding of CRM system structure and relational database architecture (MySQL, Oracle, or similar). Extensive SQL experience writing/maintaining/troubleshooting/debugging stored procedures, triggers, indexes, etc.
  • Data Acumen: Technical aptitude in data analysis and the ability to leverage data narratives to drive ROI across the organization.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and self-manage while addressing reported or escalated issues.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Must be willing and available to work off-hours or weekends for quarterly product releases or occasional system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with NRF's membership acquisition and retention processes is a plus.
