Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP.

What does your day look like at Partner?
Partner Veterinary is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Oncology service who is excited to leverage their specialized skills to care for patients and families combating cancer. The Oncology LVT for Partner Veterinary is able to practice at the height of their license.
This is achieved through exhibiting knowledge in diagnostic procedures, tumor classifications/terminology, and, most importantly, recognizing the needs of our patients and clients. These needs range from compassionate care and communication for our clients to delivering analgesics and nutritional support to our patients.

Our 20,000 square foot reimagined building and team design includes:
- Conscious and deliberate building design layout that encourages interdepartmental communication and collaboration
- Unique support roles that enable our team to practice at your highest level
- Ample fluid pumps, syringe pumps, and monitoring equipment to enable quality patient care
- Onsite advanced diagnostics, such as MRI, CT and more
- Minimum 3 years veterinary experience in a specialty environment, experience in Oncology preferred
- Graduate of accredited veterinary technology program; veterinary technician license “in good standing” so applicant is or eligible to transfer license to Virginia
- Knowledge and dedication to high standard and fear-free patient care practices
- Strong communication skills to enable respectful and successful lines of communication among team members
- Adaptability in various learning strategies and keen interest to continuing to develop as a technician and team member
Physical Requirements (ability to)
- Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
- Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
- Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
