We produce metal castings for grinding media, mill liners, crushing liners, and slag pots with optimal designs and alloys specifically developed for the global mining, aggregate, and recycle industries. ABOUT THE ROLE . . .

The primary focus of this position is to support the site with Project and Environmental Engineering of the manufacturing facilities. The role functions in an advisory capacity to plant and operations management on policy and project issues to assist operational personnel with technical matters such as specifying, designing, purchasing, constructing, installing, monitoring and inspecting the building, grounds, physical plant, production equipment, support equipment and miscellaneous facilities. Typical projects 

  1. Adopt engineering modifications and new designs that allow for a more efficient level of plant operation.
  2. Monitor building and equipment for potential problems, provide plant engineering services and expertise to the Maintenance and Production Departments and maintain or improve efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
  3. Specify, design, construct and supervise installation of new and modified systems to meet operating requirements and increase overall company profitability.
  4. Maintain accurate records and execute procedures to comply with governmental regulations and codes and insurance requirements.
  5. Inspect drafting work assignments of the Engineering Department under intermittent supervision in accordance with established policies, procedures, schedules and specifications, exercising judgment in their application.
  6. Act as a liaison with various equipment manufacturers, contractors and vendors to resolve specific design or operational problems.
  7. Categorize and update building plans, machinery plans, books, records and equipment specifications in order to create and maintain a current reference library.
  8. Work with Maintenance and Production Supervisors on a daily basis for specific requests which are to be brought to the Facilities group for discussion and follow-through 
  9. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including but not limited to, the Quality Policy Statement as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.

EXPERIENCE WE NEED FROM YOU . . .

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, or related field
  2. Engineering experience in the steel and iron foundry industry is a plus
  3. Knowledge of environmental regulatory activities
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
