The Opportunity:

Out Teach has embarked on an ambitious new phase of growth and is looking for an Account Manager, Education Partnerships.


The ideal candidate will drive growth and manage program partnerships with schools and districts through relationship building, teacher and school recruitment, program implementation planning, and positioning for expansion and renewal opportunities. The Account Manager, Education Partnerships ensures an excellent partner experience, supports successful program implementation, and stewards school and district leadership throughout the partnership to meet renewal goals. This position supports the Director, Education Partnerships within the assigned territory as needed and collaborates across functions to ensure that Out Teach’s intended impact within the territory is met. 


The Account Manager, Education Partnerships will have direct revenue goals, and is responsible for implementing a defined account management process, recruiting principals and teachers to fulfill district contracts, renewing school and district contracts, and building strong relationships with school administrators. The Account Manager, Education Partnerships will cultivate relationships with school leadership to support equipping elementary teachers with the skills and support they need to transform science instruction and create more opportunities for their students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below, though other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees all aspects of the school district account management process for an assigned territory, including: recruitment, onboarding, account management and stewardship, renewal proposal development, procurement support and internal and external data reporting.
  • Builds relationship loyalty through meticulous service and support, and creative problem-solving to ensure successful development, implementation, and growth of partnerships.
  • Partners with peers on the Out Teach team to develop and execute recruitment strategies for new partners.
  • Supports and aligns to district sales and partnerships strategies in collaboration with Director, Education Partnerships
  • Maintains knowledge of and supports district procurement processes, ensuring fidelity and accuracy.
  • Develops growth strategies for existing school partners by soliciting and securing renewals.
  • Maintain expert product knowledge around Out Teach Programs, the education industry, and factors influencing the market environment.
  • Identify and share common themes from the field that can help refine product positioning and pricing. Offers solutions and best practices to improve partnership growth in all territories.
  • Supports other members of the Out Teach team with thought-partnership, strategic leadership, and creative problem-solving to achieve the revenue and impact goals of the entire team.  
  • Collaborates on new business strategy development and supports new business activities as needed. Partners with all members of the Partnerships and Program teams. to ensure successful execution of all contract deliverables.
  • All team members play an important role in building a strong local presence for Out Teach in communities where we operate.
  • Maintains regular updates in Salesforce to ensure all prospect information is tracked and easily accessible and analyzes data to identify opportunities, new efficiencies, and areas for support.

Education and Experience:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience, plus at least 3 years of experience in sales or non-profit fundraising, regularly meeting and exceeding goals/sales targets
  • Strong education background and market knowledge of K-12 education programming

Travel:

  • Occasional domestic travel - up to 25%
  • This position is currently work from home, but preferred candidates will be located in or near one of Out Teach’s hub locations (Washington, DC; Atlanta, Georgia; Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina).

Salary Description
$60,000 - $85,000 per year
