Description

The Director of Online MATS is responsible for the continued growth and success of the online MATS program. This role provides strategic direction and vision for the program and ensures synergy between functional departments to achieve program goals.

 

Duties and responsibilities

1.  (45%) Develop and implement strategies to grow the MATS program.

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Admissions team to develop and execute a strategic plan to increase leads and new enrollment.
  • Actively seek and participate in recruiting events.
  • Build strategic relationships with churches, presbyteries, and other ministries to increase awareness, generate leads, and establish regional cohorts.

2. (40%) Oversee the operations of the MATS program in partnership with cross-functional department leaders. 

  • Collaboratively set program goals and objectives.
  • Develop business models to forecast program growth and profitability.
  • Partner with the Learning Experience team to assess and improve the quality of courses and curriculum.
  • Partner with the Student Success team to maintain high student satisfaction and retention levels.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and the Finance team to set and monitor budgets. 
  • Contribute to developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the MATS, including compliance with institutional, local, and national regulations.

3. (10%) Report progress and updates to leadership, the board, and other stakeholders.

4. (5%) Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Senior Director or Senior Team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Record of successful business leadership experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the higher-education industry
  • Deep appreciation for the seminary’s mission, theology, and instruction

Working conditions

  • This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This is a full time, exempt position. This job requires the ability to manage repeated tight deadlines, high stress, public-facing projects that demand attention to detail, and ability to work with many stakeholders on various projects.
  • This job can be performed remotely, with visits to campus required approx. 4 times per year
