Position Overview

The Director of Marketing has a significant impact on our organization's capacity to compete effectively in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) markets it serves. As a key liaison between marketing and the company's Business Units and Business Lines, this role's primary responsibilities will include extensive involvement and collaboration in developing marketing strategy and planning, assigning and managing execution, and measuring and reporting results to meet key business goals and objectives, while ensuring unity and alignment across all initiatives and stakeholders. The position will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications and will have managerial responsibilities. This role is a hybrid position located at our company's headquarters in Irvine, CA.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field. 

• A minimum of 10 years of substantial B2B technology marketing experience, including experience in all areas of marketing, including digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, lead generation, social media marketing, live and online events, and significant knowledge of the marketing technology landscape. 

• 4+ years in a senior position managing personnel.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work in a complex, matrixed organization that is dynamic and requires the ability to adapt and pivot to changing market conditions and stakeholder goals and objectives. 

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to set boundaries with stakeholders.

• Proven ability to successfully manage personnel.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive and successful marketing campaigns.

• Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite).

• Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.

• High degree of personal integrity. 

• Flexibility to travel 10%.

• Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is a plus. 

• Channel marketing experience is a plus.


Essential Functions

Strategy Development: In collaboration with key marketing personnel, partner with Business Units comprised of varied stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with specific goals and objectives, with a focus on driving awareness, demand generation, driving pipeline, and customer retention across target markets and audiences. 

Campaign Oversight: Oversee the marketing strategy, design, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including events, webinars, content, email marketing, and account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives. Ensure campaigns are strategic, data-driven, and targeted to achieve maximum impact. 

Team Leadership: Manage and develop a small team of marketing professionals and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging professional growth and development within the team, demonstrating marketing value and ROI. 

Performance Management and Measurement: Track and analyze key performance metrics for marketing activities. Provide regular reports and insights to Business Unit stakeholders, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and recommendations for future strategies.

Budget Management: Ensure the timely completion of marketing campaigns according to stakeholder requirements within budget constraints.

Process and Operations Management: Establish efficient processes and workflows and identify appropriate tools to create clear and concise protocols, plans, and strategies. 

Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications and other executives on department staffing, training, planning, strategy, operations, and budgeting.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires prolonged period of sitting, with occasional standing

• Continuous use of computers and other office equipment

• Occasionally required to lift, carry, push or pulling and/or move up to 10-25 lbs.

• The ability to travel maybe required for key events

Pay range for this position: $110k-130k
