The Integrated Strategies group is composed of several expert teams dedicated to fostering cross-program collaboration, driving operational excellence, and equipping Tulsa for You programs with the tools, insights, and best practices to drive tangible results. The Integrated Strategies group includes teams focused on Technology, Research & Analytics, Marketing, and Operations. Primary Purpose and Function:
As a Technical Architect, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our technology capabilities as part of our integrated strategies group. In this high-impact role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable technology solutions, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and technical best practices. By leveraging your deep technical expertise and architectural skills, you will drive efficiency and innovation across our entire ecosystem.
You will be a collaborative partner, adept at integrating various systems and platforms, providing advanced troubleshooting, and optimizing our in-house capabilities. While your primary focus will be on designing robust technology architectures, you will also apply your skills to diverse systems and projects as needed. Your ability to work effectively with stakeholders and communicate complex technical solutions clearly will enhance our overall technology proficiency and drive impactful results within our organization. Leading by example, you will elevate team capabilities through hands-on execution, set a standard of excellence, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Technical Architecture Strategy, and Execution:
- Provide technical leadership on best practices, architecture, and design for various technology solutions.
- Design and implement scalable technology solutions that meet business requirements, align with overall strategy, and integrate seamlessly with other systems.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and governance policies across all projects.
- Develop and deploy custom software components, leveraging appropriate languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with technology team members, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into technical solutions and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Execute and complete technical tickets and assigned project tasks, partnering with external technology firms and vendors to ensure timely delivery and focusing on transferring capabilities in-house to reduce costs.
Infrastructure Management & Systems Improvement:
- Manage all aspects of cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage solutions, and integrations, ensuring system security and scalability.
- Address complex technical challenges, providing advanced troubleshooting and leading efforts to resolve system outages and performance issues.
- Produce and maintain various business architecture elements, including systems and process diagrams, and create technical documentation for all technology-facilitated processes.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance system architecture and performance, advising on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on business processes and priorities.
KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in technology, information technology, engineering, development, systems administration, or architecture roles.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with setting up cloud environments and familiarity with APIs.
- Experience in business process modeling, flow charts, diagramming and associated tools.
- Experience with Hubspot and/or Salesforce preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to develop deep knowledge of an assigned technology platform and operate at the level of a certified professional, such as Certified Entry Level Python Programmer, Certified Associate in Python Programming, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, Certified Salesforce Administrator, or Google Cloud Platform, etc.
- Strong technical writing, data visualization, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex subjects into actionable items.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex business models.
- Ability to utilize project tracking and agile management tools to manage project documentation and status.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a nimble start-up environment.
- Possess a strong willingness to learn, grow, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Position continually requires the ability to talk and hear both in person and over the phone, visual acuity; ability to operate equipment, read, and use a keyboard.
- Position frequently requires the ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
Hours & Location:
- This is not a fully remote position as we work in a hybrid office environment. In-Office and hybrid/flexible schedules are based on business need, staff readiness, and approved by one's supervisor.
- You must live in or be able to relocate to Tulsa, OK or the surrounding area.
- This is a full-time position with an expectation of working 40 hours per week.
- The typical hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
