Description
Mobius Logic, Inc. works with partners in US government to understand and identify exploratory AI research that shows sufficient promise and to develop these ideas into practice via R&D solutions. Practically, we aggregate Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2-3 ideas and develop them into TRL 4-5 technologies.
As a Computational Mathematician at Mobius Logic, you will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and
maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to tackle business, science, engineering and research problems. On any given day you will be challenged on three types of work – Innovation, Business Intelligence and Data Management:
Innovation
- Use Open Source/Digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms.
- Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable a variety of complex systems and applications across a variety of industries including defense, healthcare, litigation and finance.
- Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives.
Business Intelligence
- Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization.
- Drive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies.
Data Management
- Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
- Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance.
- Build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or other technical or mathematical fields.
- At least 2 years’ experience with Python, R, Spark, SQL or other statistical programming language.
- Willingness to learn, and adaptability to new procedures.
- Strong foundation in predictive modeling, optimization, and data governance standards.
- 3+ years of experience in data science field, including mathematics, statistics, programming modeling data.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning with data sets of various types: images, sensor data, text.
- Experience in problem-solving and critical thinking to analyze and resolve complex problems using expertise in analytical or technical tools and techniques.
- Ability to work with other team members and communicate technical needs to and from full stack developers and other team members.
- Ability to accurately organize and present ideas in written deliverables and develop tailored and client-ready documents.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- This is an exempt full-time position. Part-time option could be explored with the appropriate candidates.
